Book Review: Here Comes the Train
When I started searching for bridge books, I never imagined finding one that would fit so perfectly with our Bridge Walk. This is a delightful story about a father and his children who do just that.
Every Saturday, a little boy and a girl bike with their daddy to a bridge that over looks the train bridge. There they wait and watch for the trains to come. There they spend their day watching the trains until it is time to go home and fall asleep. Charlotte Voake perfectly captures the beauty of simple adventures like this one with childlike excitement and soft watercolor illustrations.

* Go for a Bridge Walk of your own. I wish we had one that went over train tracks like in the story.
* Build bridges for your pretend trains.
