Whether you just got back from collecting leaves at the park or are in the mood to celebrate fall this is an easy leaf project that any age can do.
Tape a piece of contact paper sticky side out onto a table top, wall, or window.
Place the leaves out - I put ours in a basket on the floor next to the window.
When your child is interested. Allow them to explore. They may figure out how to stick the leaves on the paper by themselves. If not, after a while model sticking one onto the paper. Allow them the freedom to put them on and take them off. Younger children will be especially interested in this.
When they are done or when the activity has been up for a while, remove the contact paper.
Stick another piece onto the sticky side so the leaves are laminated into the middle.
Cut around collections of leaves to make them hanging sized pieces.
Use the hole punch to make a hole in each and loop of ribbon or yard through each.
Hang and enjoy.
